In 1842, François Joseph Declercq bought a small tile, pains and pottery factory in Baudour, a small town in Southern Belgium. He changed this little factory in a hard porcelain industry and renamed it Porcelaine de Baudour & Cie. The manufacture has produced elegant pieces until january 1977, when the last plate came out of the Baudour moulds.
